My daughter is 20 and has Aspergers. Over the years, I have found that she lies about things,..about doing a chore, turning in homework, calling her grandmother I've asked her call several times, paying a bill, etc. Its almost compulsive. She just answers without thinking. When I catch her in one of these lies she has no remorse. Even if I get into a fit about it, it does not change her behavior. Is that part of her autism - like she is trying to avoid my reaction to save her the sensory overload, or is she a compulsive liar?
