Hi everyone! So I'm looking for a bit of advice. My 15 year old son with Asperger's within the past year or so seems to have a very hard time with small talk. More like the formal kind of small talk with adults. He can chat with people about certain topics but if someone like an adult extended family member engages him in conversation as simple as, "Teddy. how is school going?" "How was your first year of high school?" He gets almost triggered by it. It immediately seems to make him super uncomfortable and he sometimes reacts rudely. How can I help him with this because it's not like this happens when he is right in defense mode. It actually seems to trigger him even when he's in a good mood. How do I approach this with him?
