Any suggestions for getting my 13 yo twice exceptional student (gifted, adhd combined type, dyslexia, dysgraphia, high anxiety) to discuss big picture schoolwork (what’s due when for which classes)? His brain doesn’t seem to be able to manage discussing a plan for how much time to spend on different subjects, and he prefers to hyper focus on one class (math). This means he ends up missing assignments for other classes. I’ve tried talking with him, my husband has, the school is now starting to try to help, but he’s resisting the help.
