Hi everyone. I'm new to the group. I have an 18 year old son who has Autism, ADHD, and Tourette's. We are working on trying to prepare him for taking online college classes in the fall. He found a program and wants to be successful. I'm looking for suggestions on how to request disability services that pertain to his learning style. He really struggles when material is presented in a video format stating that he doesn't ever remember any of it; even if he pauses and stops. I know he watches videos of about things he's interested in and absorbs that information. But he struggles when the topic isn't something that he wants to learn about. So much of the lessons for online learning are delivered via video. Has anyone in the group run into the same obstacle. I was thinking of requesting transcripts for him. But I'd also like to help him develop a skill to help him when he is put into a situation where he needs to watch a video and absorb the information. I really appreciate your advice. He's so smart, and I want to help him be successful :)
