I'm new to this community. My son is 23 years old and has been diagnosed with high functioning autism and suffers from treatment resistant depression & anxiety. School was an extremely difficult place for him and he spent most of his years in IEP meetings trying to find answers and then ending up on homebound due to severe vomiting from the anxiety. Socialization is minimal. He is highly medicated, which he and I both absolutely hate. He is brilliant having self taught his way through school and wants to be quantum physicist. This past September he found life so overwhelming that he attempted suicide by jumping 50+ feel from a local bridge. It was a blessing he survived and has another chance. We struggle to find anyone who can support us moving forward. He needs to know there are others out there like him and that there is hope. We have run out of support locally and I feel my window of opportunity to help him as a Mom is running short. Any advice and/or help would be greatly appreciated!
