HI there. I'm new here :). My son (8) has a quite a few signs of high functioning autism but is not yet diagnosed. He's happy little guy tg but he says he often spends lunchtimes walking around by himself. He says he enjoys this and doesn't feel lonely but I worry it will cause disconnect with his peers. He does have friends and his class mates are a lovely bunch too. The teachers say his peers like him and that it's just his preference. My question is should I encourage him to mix more at lunchtime or does he actually need the break from social interaction. I just don't want to set him up for a fall. Any advice would be gratefully accepted :)
