My daughter who is 15 is reaching a crisis point with her Year 11 mocks happening in 2 weeks and GCSEs next June. She sabotages any opportunity to revise. She will start thinking about all the things in her life that she isn't happy about and blames me for (eg her ASD diagnosis, calling he police when she ran away in the middle of the night) and these meltdowns can last 24 hours or even longer and leave her feeling exhausted. But I have suggested she takes some time out from school and tries to do her GCSEs the following year or to reduce the number of subjects she is studying. But she won't agree to either of these thing which I think would reduce the pressure and demand on her. So we are stuck. I really want to help her but everything I do or say is wrong. Currently I have said she doesn't have to go into school, as long as she does a bit of revision at home and just go in for exams. This seemed to calm her down but now I can tell she is starting to angst again. How can I help her?
