Hi again. This past weekend I took my family to the lake for a last summer hoorah. I was very proud of my Asperger's son who struggles with MANY phobias for trying two new things. He climbed a ropes course (hated it, but he did it, probably won't do it again;), and he went water tubing. He miraculously liked it (I was VERY careful not to get his face too wet and went super slow). So overall I consider it a success. However, he was very mean to me, and it was HARD to not let it affect me. He mocks my face, my voice, the way I laugh, and he kept getting angry with me when I couldn't immediately stop what I was doing and run over and see what he was pointing at or doing at any given time. I feel very bullied and disrespected. I know it's his Asperger's so I try not to take it personally, but man it's hard especially when you're traveling and can't really get space from each other. Yes, I do explain to him how his words hurt me, but the behavior continues.
