We are very grateful for this education and look forward to the coaching calls. Our 23 year old lives on our property in his own cabin. He graduated high school a year early, with good grades, and went on to college, driving himself, in an urban area, living on campus in a shared apartment and doing well. Then the pandemic happened and Zoom classes sent him into isolation and the overwhelm of not getting support from professors and peers overcame him. We agreed he should come home 1 semester short of graduation. He lives his own cabin a few yards from our house. We want to encourage him to get a job,but he won't take action, gives excuses, and the topic always ends in him getting overwhelmed and angry. I think we've hit our own rock bottom with trying all the wrong things, and we're enabling him. He games, texts with friends, but rarely sleeps. His hygiene is horrible, but if I mention it, he get overwhelmed. When he was younger and we gave consequences of no phone for 24 hours...it was like magic. His mood improved 💯 %. We're lost, but glad we found this resource and found tbe webinar encouraging. I just need to know the magic trick to help him calm his nervous system.
