My son is 22. He was just diagnosed with Autism last year. Progressively his emotional state has worsened over the years. He becomes very angry, saying the most horrible violent things you can imagine but doesn't follow through with them, thankfully. We finally got him an apartment of his own because the constant stress of him going off the deep end was too much to live with but he is very overwhelmed being there by himself. We have been reaching out to our local agencies for years trying get help. He is now on disability and has been approved for other help but it's slow coming and I doubt that he will let them in his apartment. My husband and I and our parents are very involved with him, trying to help and seeking anything that can make this better. I recently purchased the Accountability Plan and I'm excited to try this. We are on week 3 of the plan. My son is extremely difficult to deal with for us but when he's in public he acts differently. Im not sure how much more I can take. We are at our own emotional limit. Anyone else living this?
