Hey, everyone!! Looking for some guidance please. For background, we have an undiagnosed 17 year old who i’ve homeschooled the last 8 years. He’s exceptionally bright and scores above average on end of year testing. Symptoms are either so “mild” or masked that the so-called professionals “can’t see it”. A mama just knows, right? Home is a lot different than what the public sees, College hasn’t been a hot topic as he’s fearful to even get a driver’s permit due to lack of focus/concentration. Not that I wouldn’t consider enrolling in a school that was geared towards the AS community. I’ve looked into the TWICE EXCEPTIONAL school/academy for his senior year of HS to complement homeschooling but unfortunately the cut off is 16 years old. 👀 Looking for schooling/career avenues that are suitable for who he is. I don’t wish to send him out into the working world to get “eaten alive”. He’ very mellow and sweet, just lacks a few necessary “skills” to maintain employment, Thank you for any input :)
