Ever since I've discovered that my son (13) and I are on the spectrum, I've started getting more and more aware of my sensory issues that I had been ignoring until now. For example, personal space and not being touched without warning, even by my kids. However, with the kids home over the summer, my son is accidentally triggering me a lot every time he touches me. I try to put up with it but also explain to him how I feel. And I am very happy that he looks to me for closeness, but I also sometimes lose patience when it gets to much for me. Any suggestions?
