My son refuses to put clean laundry away. He has 2 closets and a dresser but prefers to throw clean laundry in a chair or leave in the basket. When asked why he doesn’t put it away the answer is always “ I don’t know” Room is a mess as result and of course dirty laundry just gets thrown on floor. Anyone else accomplished getting their aspie to put laundry away? How did you do it? Thanks Ok I’ve read the responses I have provided multiple baskets and a hanging cubby he picked out to put clean clothes in. I buy anything he says will help him organize but he still puts everything in the chair and on the floor. I’ve tried explaining the problem with not staying clean. He now has ants in his room. I’ve tried to understand his needs but at same time he can’t live on his own some day and continues to be messy. He needs to understand he needs to keep his environment and self clean At same time he refuses to use the trash cans for empty drinks and food wrappers. This is not a young child or teen. He is 23
