looking to offer support for my lv 1 maybe 2 - 20 yr old son. Does fine with nothing but easy activities but melts down massively if there is any unexpected or different transitions involved. Airport travel delays, unexpected plans, etc. Just flys into a complete meltdown and is unable to cope. Will apologize afterwards and is sweet and kind until the next unexpected event (literally could be anything) when the overwhelmed meltdown happens again until they can gain control of themselves or the situation. Any advice. We have parented as if in defense mode for years. Literally years. We just cannot plan for every single event or transition and in the moment it is horrible for everyone. Any advice? Has anyone found these transitions get easier with maturity?
