Our son is 17. He refused school after the holiday break, and we enrolled him in an online program. Online was his choice. My husband and I wanted him to go to a small private school. He saw it as a SPED school and refused. While we understood his feelings, we were hopeful he’d get into a routine and want to stay there until graduation next year. Our main concern is finding something to get him out of the house - some sort of activity or job. He always balks at anything that is suggested to him. How do we get him motivated to look for something? What types of jobs have your kiddos had? He really needs to learn accountability and responsibility and hopefully make some new connections.
