I am sure this topic may be addressed elsewhere, but what organization decided Asperger's was not a "thing" anymore? I personally tell people I was diagnosed with Asperger's at 55 and am informed "you are on the spectrum" I am in education so the large majority of those who school me on myself do NOT have Asperger's. I prefer to say I am autistic as well in contrast to I am a person [first] with autism. It's not an accessory, as noted from an awesome graphic on the Actually Autistic website.
