Best way of explaining to your ASD kid that just because he feels threatened does not mean he can lash out physically. He had an incident at school with another kid where they were both being idiots. He told her to knock of whatever she was doing and she wouldn't. Then he aggressively smacked her with said item. The vice principal had a chat with him and appeared to understand mom and dad talked to him and he was acting like he had a right to defend himself. How do you explain the feel threatened actual danger vs you are super annoyed. Part of me also question sensory overload which he denies sensory as even an issue.
