Hi. Do you mind if I just pour this out here. I graduated from my University with a Bachelors Degree in Marine Science two years ago, and I'm currently volunteering at a laboratory at that same university cleaning dishes. There haven't been much opportunity to move up there, so I'm looking at other jobs. But while I was there, one of the professors looked at my grades and said I might be better at the data science masters programm instead. That's all well and good, but they not only require at least some coding knowledge, which I don't have, but it's an accelerated intensive course, whcih is overwhelming to me. I tried to ask if they could accommodate for me but they couldn't find a way. Should I take this course, or should I continue with Marine Biology. I love studying the ocean, but in our current times of COVID, should I sacrifice that for sitting at a computer staring at numbers all day? What do you guys think?
