Explaining cost of things to an asd kid. My 14 year old keeps asking why do we buy used cars while the grandparents buy new vehicles. Different values mixed with different skill sets and different stages of life. They have their house paid, have minimal medical expenses and fewer pets. I feel like he is expecting to be able afford a new vehicle when I know he won't. For what he would want we cannot afford to help him.
