It’s the beginning of the school year, and my teen son is already falling behind in his classes because he will not create a homework routine. He plays D&D in his room after school, talks to his girlfriend on the phone, and then falls asleep. He is not taking the time to shower or brush his teeth, and he will not open his computer and do the homework. I am scared to hear from his teachers again this year because I can’t force him to do it. When I ask him to do these basic things, he yells, gets aggressive, and hits his door. He wants me to not talk to him, but I am so upset and want him to feel better. He did so well last year when he was doing sports after school, but he refuses to participate this year. What can I do to improve things? Help.
