Hello! I've been a part of this space for a little while now but I haven't posted anything. I'm mostly anxious that I won't get feedback. But, I'll go out on a limb and ask my question. My son is 12 years old and was diagnosed with asd level 1 in 3rd grade. He has always had a difficult time recognizing when he needs to go to the bathroom and holding instead of just going. Potty training was a nightmare. Now, at 12, we have a pretty good routine down. However, he has started puberty, and is starting to have accidents during the day and bed wetting at night (and, yes, I'm sure it's urine). Has anyone experienced this? Do you have any advice? He absolutely hates being reminded to go and refuses to acknowledge his accidents. It is almost a knockdown dragout fight to get him to clean up and change. Anyone else struggle with this?
