How do we help the asd high schooler who misunderstands class requirements and blames the parents instead of himself for the poor choices. Refused to go to meetings I had time taken off to take him then he decides to not do it then cancel the time off. Now fall comes and he should have been pulled from marching band he was still there on the schedule and he refused to talk to a counselor. I basically emailed his counselor and director and asked them to please talk to him first day or week of school. He just wasn’t putting together if you refuse band camp you don’t do band first trimester. Needs to come from them not me. That is a chunk of the issue is the schools do a poor job communicating then I have to pick up the pieces.
