Deleted my first post and reposting something else. As a 72 year old I've decided to not seek a diagnosis, though every informal internet test has me on the spectrum. When I read how mother's are challenged by their autistic teen and young adult sons I become envious. Your sons are going through much what I did, but they have you and the knowledge. When I was young autism was rarely diagnosed. From what I'm learning about autism, Seems I've been a heavy masker, masking masks and substituting and disguising symptoms after being scolded. I remember kids not liking me much. There's so much, too much, almost impossible. But I'm ok. At this point I feel sorry for everyone who have known me, and those currently dealing with my bad communication and social behavior.
