Hi my son is 15 high functioning Asperger. He takes medication for anxiety everyday. He has great friends however he hates school and doesn’t like to leave his room much. Doesn’t do much social activities either , and acts very “lazy” around the house. It’s very hard to have him cope with basic activities, everything turns into argument when I ask him to do chores . I wonder if it’s time I tell him he is in the spectrum. I am afraid he will feel down with this information. What should I do!’? When is the right time to tell someone that? His psychiatrist doesn’t believe he should know yet. Thank you
