Recently, my daughter was assessed for a learning disability at our request. She doesn't qualify for a learning disability or other disability regarding SpEd services, but she seems to have a pattern for the dyslexia family in her test results. Curiously, she also scored "at risk" for autism on the assessments. I say "curiously" because I have always considered her our social skills star. Her older brother has an Asperger's diagnosis. I think I am a highly masked autistic person. So, I am wondering--should I get her a more thorough assessment, possibly from someone who knows something about Autism in women?
