Could anyone shed some light on what a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) would do to help a 13 year old get back to school? A google search seems to link behavior analysts with ABA therapy which I believe is controversial and increasingly unpopular (if I am understanding correctly). My gut tells me that my son's behavior is his main source of communication, and that their goal would be to correct the behavior without addressing the root concerns. Is my gut serving me well here?
