Last year at 19 months old my son was diagnosed with ASD. Naturally, my husband and I were screened for autism and my screening lead me to an evaluation. I am 29 years old and I just found out I’m autistic. My whole life I’ve been labeled as difficult, demanding, over emotional but the truth is I’ve been so lost. I still am. I’ve had a career, I’m raising two beautiful children but I’m struggling. After Covid and some trauma, and this diagnosis I’ve realized I’m in a burnout. I’ve lost a lot of executive functions I used to be able to do and I’m finding myself in a never ending loop of being “normal” for a few days and then barely being able to do basic tasks. Any tips on how to get out of this ?
