Hi everyone, With the holidays getting closer my anxiety has been steadily building, specifically in regards to my older brother coming home for a visit. One of the main things I'm currently working on is improving my self esteem, and whenever he comes home my self esteem tends to plummet even with the help of coping techniques. I, as well as my parents, keep trying to remind myself that it is all in my head and there is no reason to compare myself to him, but the result is usually the same. Does anyone have any other ideas on what I could do to help keep my anxiety in check and stop making these unconscious comparisons? Thanks.
