My 13 yo grandson is really struggling with emotional and social control. Some days are better than others, but when he wakes up "on the wrong side of the bed", it sets the tone for the day and he yells, screams, refuses to eat or get dressed to go to school on time. He's getting farther behind in school and refuses to do his homework or incomplete assignments. He's rude to his parents and obsessed with his electronics which are used as a reward/punishment. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for how to begin days on a more positive note since how he wakes up seems to impact the entire day.
